I love this country but we don't handle success very well. We forget to quickly about The past and get to comfortable again --9/11. Remember the Patriot Act? We basically gave the government permission to do what you need to do, just make sure we don't get attacked again.
I think all the chaos we are seeing is planned. As Justus Hope predicts we will give in--JUST make this all stop so I don't lose my comfort! In these situations we forget about our future generations.
Here in Chinada; our federal politicians recently met on Parliament Hill to discuss Canada’s possible future participation in this debacle; and afterwards; even our conservative politicians were delivering misinformation to constituents stating that Russia accidentally sunk their own ship….. #unsurprising

Ukraine vs. Russia and threat of nuclear war is that we the people will have no say if Democrats are in charge. Possibly even if republicans are in charge. It seems the voice of the people no longer exists. Not trying to be negative. Just going on recent omnibus legislation etc. Perhaps the problem is an apathetic population that is content to let government make all decisions.
People need to realize they can create their own safety, thus preserving those freedoms.
